Seat 18 x 1st class passengers and 21 x 2nd class passengers or sleep 12 x 1st class passengers and 21 x 2nd class passengers.

Roller bearings, except 1991-1995, 2016, 2026 which had 11 x 5.5 inch journals and 2046-2057, which had 10 x 4.5 inch journals

Tare varies between 39 tons 3.4 cwt and 42 tons 14 cwt

with a -C suffix had the relevant markings as shown in these drawings.
