DIE FELDSPURBAHNEN SǗDWESTAFRIKAS – 1000km auf 600mm Spur (Rough translation - Railways of South West Africa - 1000kms of 600mm track) Author: Röhr, Gustav Publisher: Verlag und Buro fur spezielle Verkehrsliteratur Rohr, 1980 (German text) ISBN: 3884900927 It has German text but with some English captions. It has a greater breadth of photographs and line drawings than Namib Narrow Gauge, particularly in respect of the CDM system. I don’t read any German, but even so, the book is well worth having for the photos, drawings and lists etc. However, the photographs are of extremely poor quality, as is the book’s binding. There is an earlier, hard back edition of the book which has better quality photos. [PB] |
