(FOTR) Work in Progress Photos and Report
July 2001
| July 2001 saw much work being carried out on 15F 3094 to get her
ready to steam again. A steam test was done which revealed a couple
of problems that have since been resolved. Seen below is a photo of
3094 with lagging off and being steam tested, followed by work in
progress to get the insulation and lagging replaced. 3094 will
undergo a final steam test before a test trip to Germiston on 28th
July. A public trip to Cullinan will be held on 30th July - book
now! A couple of other pictures of work in progress on our third suburban sitter coach. When finished this will give us 3 suburban sitters, a lounge car and a compartment coach for our trains. Finally an up-to-date picture of 19D 2650 as she stands now. Work will resume on 2650 once 3094 is back in action. Pictures Copyright © 2001 Trevor Staats |
